OUR STORY:
My brothers and I built this KR2. Two of us are federal licensed Airframe and Powerplant Mechanics.
It's a beautiful airplane!
The airplane was complete and ready for its maiden flight. 5 hours of taxi time was completed. While trailering it to an airshow exhibit an attachment pin sheared and the airplane was damaged. It has never flown. We have had it in storage ever since and don't feel we'll ever get back to fixing it up.
The damage is to the fiberglass in the right wing root and cowling. No structural damage. Not a difficult fix!
Asking $7900.00
($10,800 is the current cost to buy the kit from Rand Robinson! Not including the engine.)

We displayed our KR2 in the Wichita KS Towne West Mall for about a year during their aviation theme. It was on the way to this mall that one of the attach bolts sheared and the airplane nearly came off the trailer. It was damaged under the right wing stub and on the under cowling. Their was also minor damage on the left wing stub. Propeller got a nick as well. Both wings were in another vehicle and remain in excellent condition. It went into storage and we never flew it.

These pictures are of the move from Wichita KS to Bella Vista AR where it's been stored in my garage for the past 10 years.

These are pics from a recent run up.

Both wings are complete and undamaged

Leather interior

Posa carb

Duel ignition both electronic and mag.

This is not damage. It's rework I did after the paint job. I reworked the inside of the faring to receive the larger wheels. It's now ready for paint.

The following pictures are of the damaged areas of the airplane.
