Here is a look at our KR2 on the inside and outside. It was hangered in this hanger in Newton Kansas for a about a year while I fine tuned it and put on several taxi runs. I was FAA certified in 1993 and this video was shot in 94 or 95. |
This is a video of the first high speed taxi on the runway. The engine was running great and I felt like I could have just put it up in the air. I did 8 or 9 complete lengths of the runway and back taxis. I could feel that it wanted to lift at about 45-50 mph. Exhilarating! It was soon after this that the KR2 was damaged in transport and never flew. |
I've had the KR2 stored in my garage now for the past ten years since it was damaged. I recently gave it an inspection and started it up. It ran fine but needs some carburator tuning. It was running rich and wouldn't run up to high rpms. It has a Posa carb and will probably need a fuel needle adjustment. |
